Welcome to Maring Surgical! Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Thomas Maring manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. He practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery, dental implant surgery, and wisdom tooth removal. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.
Our staff is trained in assisting with I.V. sedation within our state of the art office setting. Our office is located at 509 Olive Way, Suite 750, Seattle, WA. Call us at Seattle Office Phone Number 206-343-7500.
The surgical staff at Maring Surgical are experienced certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in administration of IV sedation and surgery. All staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies, and are CPR certified. It is our utmost goal to ensure every patient has a professional experience and receives excellent care at every step of treatment.
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, surgery can be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Your surgical referral slip and any x-rays if applicable.
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- If you have medical or dental insurance, please bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
A preoperative consultation and physical examination is mandatory for patients undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery. Please do not eat or drink eight hours prior to your surgery. A ride is required to be present with all IV sedation patients at the time of check-in. To ensure optimal post-operative care and assistance to our patients, we do not make any exceptions to this policy.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery, during your consultation with Dr. Maring (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medications (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc).
If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. For digital x-rays, please have them forwarded to our office email: [email protected]. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
For all new patients and procedures, the first step in scheduling is the initial consultation. We schedule consultations in both mornings and afternoons on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The earliest consultation times are later morning, with check-in at 10:15 a.m., and the latest at 3:45pm. All surgeries are scheduled in the mornings, every day of the week, except Wednesday. Our office is closed weekends.
Surgery is scheduled after the initial consultation with Dr. Maring.
We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. Occasionally, emergency cases arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Please call us at Seattle Office Phone Number 206-343-7500 with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
After your consultation, a cost estimate will be mailed to your provided home address. Any dental insurance (or medical, if applicable) will be called and/or contacted for a request of pre-determination of eligible benefits.
For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, and request that out of pocket costs are paid at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at Seattle Office Phone Number 206-343-7500.
Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by our office regardless of your insurance coverage.
We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is the patient’s responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. For payment plans, we offer a financing program called CareCredit. Please inquire online or in our office about the program details.
